If you can’t get enough of Robert Rodriguez after today’s wide release of Predators, we have some great news for you! Movieweb and Comingsoon  have some first looks at Rodriguez’s latest Grindhouse production Machete, which stars Danny Trejo and opens on September 3.

In these four lobby cards and trailer, audiences get a sneak peak at co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Robert De Niro, and the man himself, Trejo, in what appears to be a down and dirty action throwback to the anything goes spirit of the 1970’s.

Trejo plays the titular character, a former Mexican Federale hired to kill corrupt U.S. senator McLaughlin (De Niro), and then betrayed by his employer Benz (Jeff Fahey). Trejo, Cheech Marin as killer priest good guy Padre, and Fahey, are the only three who reprise their roles from the faux trailer released with Planet Terror and Death Proof in the Grindhouse experiment of 2007.
