On Sunday, Megan Fox faced off against Jessica Alba in SPiN's Hottie Hall of Fame bracket, and instantly took a commanding lead. On Monday, she finally dumped this guy. Coincidence? I think not.
But while Fox is definitely an attractive lady, is she really Hall of Fame material yet? SPiN's other brackets have featured women who've been part of the pop culture landscape for years and years. We have Oscar winners, TV legends, world famous models and more. Name one good thing Megan Fox or Jessica Alba has been a part of that hasn't involved a box of tissues?
As far as I'm concerned Alba is a lost cause. Sure she's pretty, but she's got all the screen presence of a damp rag, and aside from a small, booty-shaking part in Sin City, name another decent movie she's been in. In fact, between The Fantastic Four movies, Into the Blue, Good Luck Chuck and recent Razzie winner The Love Guru, Alba has been an integral part of some of the decade's worst films. The only Hall of Fame she should be eligible for is the "I need a new agent" one.
At least Fox has hope. Though she's yet to appear in a decent movie that doesn't involve 50-foot tall robots, she's only 21, and there's definitely room for improvement there. If Alba is Darko Milicic, full of promise but unlikely to achieve anything, Fox is O.J Mayo -- young, talented, and in need of good coaching. Next fall she'll appear on screen in Jennifer's Body, a sexy horror film written by Juno's Diablo Cody. It's definitely intriguing, and should it live up to the hype (check your local Internet for the leaked nudie pics), then we can talk Hall of Fame. Until then it's a little premature.
