CNN recently asked actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba what advice she would give Beyonce and Jay-Z regarding the clamor for the first photograph of the new addition to their family, daughter Blue Ivy.

Alba, who recently founded the Honest Company, told CNN's AJ Hammer about the advantages of selling daughter Honor Warren's first photograph to OK! Magazine.

"For our family, we just wanted to control the experience," Alba said. According to the New York Post, the Sin City actress told Showbiz Tonight that she and husband Cash Warren were concerned about the lengths to which paparazzi would go in order to snap the first photographs of their newborn. "We didn't want it to be like a weird thing, walking out of the house with her for the first time."

It not only gave the couple a sense of control over the hectic experience of becoming celebrity parents, but Alba also remembers the day of the photo shoot as "a nice day in the house." "We were friends with the photographer," she said. "We'll have those beautiful pictures forever."

Of course, there is an enormous price-tag on the first photograph of a celebrity baby. Reportedly, Alba received $1.5 million for baby Honor's photograph. Accordingly, Alba discussed what became of the money made from the now three-year old's magazine cover debut. "We put the money that the picture made into a bank account for Honor to do whatever she wants with," Alba says. "You know, it's her picture, and it's her birth."

Despite the pressure of making the decision, Alba mentions the importance of maintaining perspective. "To each his own. It's really not the biggest thing in the world. The biggest thing is having a healthy baby and being happy in your home." The mom of two said, "Beyonce will make the best decision for her family."

Jessica Alba has been married to producer and entrepreneur Cash Warren since May 2008. Alba and Warren are parents to two daughters, Honor Marie, born in June 2008, and Haven Garner, born in August 2011.

Jessica Alba saunters into a restaurant in the theater district wearing a heavy fur-lined coat over her Carolina Herrera blouse and billowy trousers. Under the icy winter chill she steps out of a tinted-window SUV in her power heels, which seem to stomp in unison with every paparazzi shot.

They’ve been stalking her every move while she’s been in New York, documenting her every appearance, from “CBS This Morning” to the Wendy Williams show to every outfit change, from Doo.Ri to Erdem.

Jessica Alba, hot movie star, is now Jesica Alba, 30 years old and mother of two. It seems like years since she’s been out and about sans kids or hubby Cash Warren.

But for Alba, her packed schedule of interviews and TV appearances across the Big Apple has been all about business. She’s here promoting her first entrepreneurial venture, The Honest Co. and honest.com, a line of nontoxic, eco-friendly diapers and biodegradable wipes.

Also in the lineup: organic bath and skin care and green cleaning products. The diapers are even decorated with patterns like ice cream cones, anchors, gingham patterns and skulls. The skulls were her idea. “I was like, I love Alexander McQueen so I thought there just needed to be skulls,” she says. “Almost like an homage.”

Alba speaks softly about her new passion. Though in photos she seems to have a stare that projects an unapproachable demeanor, she smiles and giggles often. While confident in the way she approaches her answers, she’s reticent when asked to take credit for anything she does, from her own baby care line to her red-carpet style.

In a lavender Gucci gown at the Golden Globes, she had just been named one of the best dressed at the awards show. “Mr. Brad Goreski has certainly helped me,” she said, crediting her new stylist, the ex-assistant to Rachel Zoe and now star of Bravo’s “It’s a Brad, Brad World.”

“He’s great, he’s so sweet. I worked with the same stylist from age 18 to last year and I was going on this press tour so I was like, I need someone. So I called up Joe Zee [Elle magazine’s creative director\] and he was like, ‘There's this amazing new stylist and he’s so sweet.’”She met with him and hired him on the spot.

“I don’t like people who talk bad about other people. I like someone who’s not, like, catty. Not a bad thing comes out of his mouth about anyone. In fashion people tend to be competitive. They start saying nasty things and I don’t want that energy around me or my children.”Alba takes pride in protecting her two daughters, Honor, 3, and Haven, 5 months, which is one of the reasons she started the company.

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba says her three-year-old daughter is very passionate about wigs and loves wearing one every day. The 30-year-old says Honor Marie, her eldest girl with husband Cash Warren, has an "insane" sense of style. "She's very independent, very opinionated and loves dress up so much. Like every day, she's in full drag!" showbizspy.com quoted Alba as saying.

"She wears a wig every day. She has a lot of wigs and she has a lot of plastic heels. It's totally insane but it makes her happy." Jessica also has a five-month-old daughter Haven with Warren.

Jessica Alba has confessed that she has put less time into her acting career since becoming a mother. The Sin City star, who is parent to 3-year-old daughter Honor and 5-month old Haven Garner with husband Cash Warren, explained that she has shifted her priorities in recent years to ensure that she does not miss a moment of her daughters' childhoods.

"Work takes a backseat. Before, I'd have two weeks off around Christmas, but I never really did birthdays, or I'd be working in a country that didn't celebrate certain holidays. Now it's about family and capturing those moments. When I do work, it's fun and I take some risks," Alba told Parade.

The 30-year-old went on to say that she often struggles to balance her love of acting with her responsibilities as a parent. "I don't think I balance it, to be honest. It's hard, overwhelming and it's not anything I ever feel I am doing perfectly right. I wish there were two of me and 48-hour days so I could get everything done," she said.

"But for me, I have to not try and think that everything has to be 100% perfect all the time and leave room for error. As long as my kids feel loved and a priority, everything really is secondary."

Jessica Alba wowed at the 69th Annual Golden Globes Awards donning a custom Gucci gown, luxurious Bulgari jewelry and a stunning pair of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes but the actress recently revealed that she can't take all the credit for her gorgeous red carpet look.

"Actually, Honor did pick out my nail polish,” the 30-year-old star shared on the Live! With Kelly show on Tuesday (January 17) in New York City, “[but] it stops at the nail polish.”

The Valentine's Day actress also dished about getting ready for the event with her two daughters Honor, 3, and Haven, 5 months, under foot. "I actually sort of messed up," she claims. "I should have given myself at least two hours because I have two kids and one of them is five months and she barfs."

"I didn't really have that much time," the actress continues. "I actually only gave myself only and hour and fifteen minutes and the baby, you know, of course, she's gonna barf on me but I didn't have the dress on so I sort of wiped it off and kept on moving."Jessica also discusses her secrets to her post-Haven slimdown and how she continues to stay fit.

"With my second pregnancy, I didn't gain as much weight," she reveals. "It makes it easier for after. I did yoga and I ate healthy sort of and then after, I started working out with my girlfriend. That's it" And when it comes to her two gorgeous girls, Jessica isn't afraid to poke a little motherly fun.

"Look at that dome," she laughs when shown a picture of baby Haven. "She's got a huge cranium! The kid has a giant head and so does her sister."As for her latest project called The Honest Company - her new eco-friendly product line - Jessica discusses how it came to be.

Jessica Alba has revealed that she's happier than she's ever been since giving birth to second daughter Haven in August. The 30-year-old stunning actress insists that the reason she looks so good is because she's very content with her life.

"I'm happier than I've ever been in my entire life and I think that definitely comes through," Contactmusic quoted her as telling 'Access Hollywood Live'. The 30-year-old beauty has already regained her figure and credits that to not going crazy with food while she was expecting her second child.

"With my second pregnancy, I didn't gain as much weight, so I made healthier choices. So, it was a little bit easier to get back," she said. While she loves being a mother, Jessica says she has no desire to have a third child at the moment as she's too busy with her new website, Honest.com, which offers non-toxic, eco-friendly, affordable products for babies. "Well, Honest.com is actually my third baby. I wanted to make beautiful eco products that are delivered right to your door," she added.

Rather than promoting an upcoming film, Alba is happy to announce the launch of her latest gig with a company called The Honest Company, which makes Eco-friendly, natural and chemical free products for babies and kids.

During her morning sit-down on “Live! With Kelly,” Jess explained, "When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been. It's the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start."

Jessica Alba was beautiful at the 2012 Golden Globes, and just as pretty at the after party, too. Sporting a dazzling strapless Gucci dress, she sparkled and glistened the night away with hubby Cash Warren.

According to a report from Just Jared, Jessica and Cash attended the Golden Globes after party sponsored by Warner Bros. and InStyle, that was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel following the awards show. They were seen earlier in the evening--making heads turn as a stunning red carpet couple.

Jessica needed very little to accessorize her glimmering dress, so she opted to simply accent it with a stylish pair of Giussepe Zanotti shoes and some exquisite Bulgari jewelry--drop earrings and a matching bracelet.

It's really difficult to believe when looking at Jessica Alba's fit and trim figure that she gave birth to her second child just mere four months ago. She looks like she hasn't missed a day at the gym since her teens!

While at the after party, Jessica and Cash mixed and mingled with a variety of their celebrity friends. Jessica was especially excited about catching up with her good friend Matt LeBlanc. Matt actually was a Golden Globe winner on Sunday evening, having received the award for Best Leading Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy.

Even though Jessica Alba puts throngs of women everywhere to shame with her svelte body, fans wish her well in the coming year. It was fun seeing her both at the 2012 Golden Globes and in this photo that features the lovely look she sported at the after party, too.
